Sawatdee Kaa! my turn to blog laio, we woke up like 7.30am in the morning to meet my mum and sis for our complementary breakfast at the hotel. The food is good as mention by many reviewers all over the internet, sorry forgot to take photos of the breakfast keke.
After our breakfast, we wait for our transport to visit the Floating Market which was part of our package. Visiting the 4 face buddha and Suan Lum Night Marke were also included in the package.
Here's our boat to the Floating Market, btw the Floating Market that we are visiting aren't the original one as the real Floating Market is way too far.
Took this artistic group shot b4 we get on the boat.
Us again in the boat
Few of the nice looking temples while we sail thru the river.
This is so call the "Shui San Jia Ren" (River Family), heard from the tour guide that the Thai gov set a rule for them that they are not allow to demolish their house and rebuild it, they are only allow to repair.
There you go, the pirated version of the Floating Market haha. Only 4 market boat come to us to sell their stuff.
Love this photo
We then reach this area where all the holy temples are. There is this story where a holy monk have this pet fish which he longer have the time to take care, so he set free in the river to let anyone to feed it, as time pass... many fishes started to gather and they are so call blessed haha. Anyway we throw some bread into the water and watch how those big fat fish eat the bread.
Don't know who is he but I guess he might be the Sir Stamford Raffles of Bangkok haha
Nothing much to see around this area, and we started to feel really hungry.. so we negotiate with the tour guide person that we want to skip some of the visit and just let us free and easy in the shopping area.
Mr Ronald Mcdonald Thai Version ahaha
My Mum bought us to this food place call Amarin Foodhouse which is in some shopping centre near Chit Lom Station.
The food here is good and rather cheap! they got Dim Sum, European and Thai food
I ordered my favorite fried rice with egg again haha
Their Tom Yam Gong, not very spicy and flavoring is just right, but not the best Tom Yam we tasted so far.
This fried noodle thingy is I feel the best among the rest of the food we ordered.
Not forgetting our Dim Sum but Thai style, even the naming also thai style
Not wasting anymore time, after our meal we hurry head to the station to take train down to Ratchathewi Station for our first shopping stop at the Platinum Fashion Mall. Above is the photo of their train card.
We still have to walk from the station to the mall which is like I think 10-15min walk. Along the way we saw some interesting local selling some roadside food like salted fish and even sushi.
What caught our attention is this auntie selling this giant durian! look how huge they are man.
Here we are at the Platinum Fashion Mall aka Ladies Heaven hahah, everything here is at wholesale price... that's if you buy more than one piece.
The shops inside the mall is much like Far East but way more shops, and If not wrong there is total of 6 levels for you to hunt all your clothings.
Decided to take a break from our shopping war at their local coffee place and bought a cup of Ice Chocolate at 80 baht. Most of the shops here sells lady stuff, only a few shop carry's guy's clothing, but somehow I enjoy shopping around here with dear haha cos everything seems so cheap, i see laio also feel song.
After our day shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall, we head back to hotel to rest awhile before heading down to Suan Lum Night Bazaar for our dinner and more shopping!
Taahaa our dinner haha, we ordered all this in from the same store to save time for our shopping later, and the food here actually tasted not bad and quite cost reasonable. They also have live singing machiam 7th months ge tai.
Took a shot after dinner
Suan Lum Night Bazaar is a quite a nice place to shop, it's like a better, smaller, easier to shop and slightly more expensive version of Chatuchak Market.
They have this area where they display all the custom pimped bikes with many running lights for show and they allow passerby to take photograph with, then you can make a donation to them if you wish to.
