Destination – Taiwan 7D6N:
An early valentine trip combined with our wedding shoots, this trip feels like a pre-honeymoon haha.
This is the BEST trip we ever had so far! enjoy ourselves alot and er.. overspent too but is worth it wahahaa. Good thing we manage to get real cheap air ticket from Jetstar during their lunch time promotion which cost us like 100plus only.

| |
We pay for extra leg space this time, because it's gonna be a long journey flight, about 4 hours man. |
| |
FYI, this photo isn't photoshoped haha, its real photo taken by our camera with some exposure settings.... Cool huh |
| |
Since its budget airline, there won't be any movies to keep us entertain, so here where our iPhone comes in hahaha, loaded with our favourite Bai Jia Le show and movies. |
| |
We actually want to ren all the way till Taiwan to eat, but the whole plane was filled with food aroma, really cannot tahan laio.. so we order this and it taste surprisely good man lol. |
| |
Nice sunset view from our window. |
| |
| |
Finally arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at around , the whole place looks very old and tradtional, not quite what we expected. |
| |
Doing some funny poses along the way haha. |
Temperature check on the weather in Taipei now... damn cooling and seiok haha.
| |
After we went to top-up our Taiwan's prepaid sim card, our hotel driver came to picked us up to the hotel... the whole journey took us like 45mins. |
Here we are at our hotel that dear's colleague recommend, cost us 1800TWD (S$80 per nite) which includes daily breakfast. Located conveniently at the popular Xi Men Ding area. |
| |
Their hotel lobby, not to shabby for a cheap hotel, the staff there are extremely nice and helpful. |
Our cozy queen size bed, the heart shape pillow not we bring one hor hahaha, it's provided by the hotel. |
As usual, dear will go around take photos of the room and toilet haha, with big screen TV that is jammed pack with alot of channels like HBO, Starsports and many many Taiwan's channels. |
| |
Their bathtub is the most seiok bathtub that we ever use, cos its really deep and big till we can submerge our whole body inside... good for long legs ppl like us keke. |
After we briefly unpack our luggage, we hurry down to Taipei Main Station to collect our train ticket that we booked for our trip to Hualien on the 6th of Feb.
Above is their train token, much like Bangkok.
| |
| |
When we arrived at their MRT station, we felt really ashamed as a Singaporean, you know they actually will queue up nicely on the line drawn on the floor regardless how crowed the place is? Not like us, machiam going for war.
Everyone will keep to the right(ours is left) on the escalator no matter how many time we took the train. Also no one will dare to sit on the priority seats, I ever heard one auntie say she don't dare to sit when her friend ask her to temporary sit down.
We really got alot alot to learn from them, been so educated but it makes us all very selfish and always think for ownself. |
| |
After we collected our train ticket, we took train back to Xi Men Ding for our late nite shopping and exploring. |
Here we are at the vibrant and lively Xi Men Ding! The place looks like Bugis Junction, just alot wider, bigger and it's open air.... but still very cold! haha. |
First stop is their famous Ah Zhong Mian Xian, already alot of ppl queuing up and all standing outside enjoying the noodle. |
Unfortunately I don't really like the taste, find it smelly, could be due to the beef smell to it. But dear loves it alot, he finished the whole bowl man haha. |
| |
That us eating under the cooling weather, damn seiok.
Saw this cute mona lisa poster haha. |
| |
| |
We past by this shop selling many types of flavor croquette and we decided to try it out. |
| |
| |
Dear enjoying his croquette, did I mention it taste very good? haha |
| |
| We found this interesting ice-cream store that make really really tall ice-cream haha. |
| |
| |
This is only half of the full height that we saw him make, so imaging how tall is the full height. |
| |
Haha my fav sweetcorn!! notice they got two kinds of sweet corn, the normal yellow and a weird white corn. |
| |
| |
Me waiting impatiently for my corn to be ready, Kin le haha. |
| |
Hoho my black sweet corn, actually it tasted really bad, maybe because they use that weird white corn which tasted totally different. |
| |
| |
| |
After some light meal at Xi Men Ding, we then head down to Shilin Night Market located at Jiantan MRT Station. One of Taipei popular night market which open till 2am. |
| |
We stop by one of their desert store, hoping to try out their Mango Icekachang, but the owner say they only have and sell mango during the summer period.. So they only got the strawberry flavor. |
| |
| |
What's so different and special about theirs is, its not really made of ice.. but much like snow feeling and it got a milky taste. Check out the texture on the photos. |
| |
We walk further down hoping to find the area where they sell many eateries, but we end up here where they sell dogs and other animals. |
| |
Oh looky, we found MOCCA! hahaha |
| |
They even got goat O_o |
| |
After hours of walking in Shiling Night Market, we couldn't find the area where all the great food are, and it's getting really late.. So we took a cab back to Xi Men Ding and tabao food from 711 and Mcdonalds for our supper. |
| |
| |
Hey they got Pig version in their Mcdonalds haha |
| |
Our yummy supper keke, oh ya the food that dear bought from 711 taste really good man, I think is some cheesy curry rice or something. |
