Woot,
Dear is already in Tokyo for a almost a week for her business trip, so she helped me booked tickets at corporate rate so that I can fly over to join her in her extended stay there. Did I mention it's always been a dream for both us to actually step into Japan? hahaha.
Hoho my very empty luggage to bring over there to fill with stuff back haha.
Haha the staff was kind enough to let me have the emergecny exit seat cos she see me very tall... check out how much freaking leg space i have haha.
As what dear mentioned to me, they will wake you up at 4am in the morning to have your breakfast, the food arn't that bad actually.
Welcome To Japan, yea!!
After a long 7hours of flight alone, I'm finally here in the land of the rising sun! I have to buy myself ticket to their Airport Limousine to take me to Hotel Pacific where dear is, cost me around SGD50 bucks.
Here I am trying to act pro in front of the hotel mirror haha, finally get to see dear, although we be checking out later in the day and shift over to another hotel just beside here, just can't help taking more photos of the room to show you guys.
Oh yea, dear say the shampoo and shower are by Shiseido man.
And not to forget the all famous toilet bowl that washes your butt haha. Dear also say that if you pai sea ppl hear your poo dropping sound, you can press one button and it will start playing music to masked the sound haha.
We actually have to check-out the room and shift to another cheaper hotel beside cos we need to pay for our own now due to the extended stay and its cheaper, so we deposit our luggage at the hotel and head out.
View from outside the window
Busy street across the hotel.
Hoho, dear bring me to this super duper nice and seiok Raman place which is located under the Shinagawa station together with other popular restaurant.
Ordering of food using machine and then pass the receipt to the counter is a very common thing in Japan. Only problem for us is we need to match the Japanese words with the picture on the poster to know what we are ordering.
Japanese ppl eating their way like no other business lol
Hoho here's my Original Raman with Extra seaweed and egg! damn seiok man, I finished the whole soup! The Raman alone cost 700Yen(about 10SGD), extra seaweed is 100Yen and egg is another 100Yen. I tell you this worth every cent of your money man.
Here's a photo with out the extra seaweed.
Dear ordered the Buta-manma, a finely chopped chashu is stewed in a slightly sweet dashi soup and placed on top of a hot bowl of rice.
cost 480yen (7SGD)
They also sell Magi mee pack and plush toy at their shop.
Above are some of the supposedly famous food restaurant under the station which always have long queue once it opens at 11am.
After our wonderful lunch, we have to walk to Sony HQ cos dear forgot to return her security pass. Here is the path way to the opposite side of Shinagawa station.
The flowers here are really fresh and colors are really nice, maybe is due to their cooling climax.
Here we are at the SONY HQ, beautiful isn't it.
Haha we spotted a couple of camper, squat there to talk on phone, I wonder why they did that.
After returning the pass, we head back to the station and purchase their Ezlink card and travel to Shibuya Station to check out the famous Hachikō bronze statue
Check out how messy their MRT line are, even the local Japanese there will get lost.
Here comes our train
Their train are very clean, and they got a top shelve for you to put your luggage or briefcase, very thoughtful right?
Taa Daaa, Hachikō!, after watching the movie, we tell ourselves tat we have to pay the dog a visit. But it's quite small then we expected and it's actually quite a distance from the station exit to the statue unlike in the movie, maybe they shifted it.
Taking photos with the respected Hachiko.
If we see carefully enough, someone actually put this solar toy under the statue for don't know what reason, really spoiled the photo.
The area where Hachikō is, is really packed with people, heard from dear that this is a popular gathering place for youngster.
Here are some of the history and photos of this station.
Right across the street is the famous cross junction where Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift was film.
You can see this ad heavily advertise everywhere around the area, I also wish to know who is his boss, I only know I'm your father.
We visited one of the CD shop where they also sell consoles and hand held games, and we saw this really chio black Wii which I suppose only available in Japan if not wrong. and it's cheaper than SG.
As well as the newly launch new DS LL which is much bigger screen and longer battery life than the original DS, but everything else is the same.
Love the view of the streets, feel so different.
Haha dear love their cute school bag and their uniform.
Dear bring me to this comic and toy shop call MANDARAK which we have go down many flock of stairs before we reach the shop, machiam some underground place.
Rows and rows of comic and anime cds.
Sweet, a full set of Kaman Rider outfit
Next we went to this place call the "TOKYU HANDS", it's quite like our ARTFRIENDS but way more stuff, ranging from DIY, pet supplies, office supplies and stationery; Japanese calligraphy, painting, drawing supplies, furniture, lighting, home appliances. Each level sells different item, so imaging the numbers of floors they have.
Check out how real the sushi is on the clock
Very interesting utensils
Check out the video of their USB Crunching and Humping dogs, but too bad it has no memory in it, if not I would have bought it.
This are candy that have flavor of the kinds of food printed on the tin. Dear bought me one of them,.. taste a bit funny haha.
Hmm not sure is it suppose to give you a fuller bust size or something.
ooooh they even have the Tako Pachi making machine man haha
We stop by at one of their cafe for a short break
Dear ordered the Chocolate+Banana, and mine is just plain Chocolate bread alike thingy..... And you know what? it's really yummy! haha, we even went for 2nd round.
Just down the street, you will see this mall call Shibuya 109, think is very popular among females because the whole entire building sells only ladies stuff and even the toilets are only female! darn it, I have to hold my pee till we leave this place lol.
Here's how the inside looks like, the trend now seems to be straw hats, I saw alot of ladies wearing it.
Super nice cakes and flowers haha.
We then head back to Shinagawa and check-in to our room, this room is supposedly for one person haha but we want to cut cost, so we secretly share the room. Heng the bed is a super single, so got bit more room.
Heng still got bathtub and the fun to use squirting toilet bowl haha.
Even better, wireless control of the squirting toilet bowl haha.
SALE!!!
Time to head out again for our dinner, this time we are going to Yurakucho Station and have our dinner at MUJI Meal!
Love this shot
Us trying to make funny faces in the train haha
Weeee here we are at Muji, located just 1 min walk from Yurakucho Station. Unlike Muji in Singapore, this is a stand alone mall with two levels as well as a Muji restaurant call "MUJI MEAL"
Here we are at MUJI MEAL, damn hungry laio.
The feeling of eating here seems to make us feel like very "enjoying life" kind haha, the whole place just feel very comfortable, peaceful and clean.
Taa Daaa dear order their 2 meat + 1 vege and brown rice set for 780yen (About 11SGD). I tell you the food is damn solid man, even the rice is so yummy. Oh ya not forgetting our favorite Strawberry Milkshake, super duper nice.. if not wrong is 360yen (5 SGD).
I order their Curry rice, also damn good sia. But more expensive haha 840Yen (12 SGD). We simply can't believe the food here tasted way better than we expected. We definitely gonna come back here again.
Enjoying our dinner!
They got alot more stuff than us as we expected. We bought ourselves some photo albums and their nice aroma diffuser.
Took a photo with one of their mascot from Softbank Mobile
After our seiok seiok dinner, we walk around their shopping area
We saw this two very neat bonzai plants. very nice le
Just right across the street, we notice there are lot people gathering around there and we can hear some music... so we decided to check it out.
There's seem to be some food fiesta going on here, many shops owner drove their van and convert them into food stores.
One of them sell this really big and comes in different flavor Tako Pachi.
Here's where the performance is held, I find the Japanese ppl there are so spontaneous, they will actually clap and cheer for the performer
On our way back, dear bought this really nice and heavenly strawberries from one of their fruit store. Looks like plastic right? haha
